I am going to order one for my brother for Christmas.
I have just about every Cubbi product on the market going back 2-3 years, so I was decently excited when they announced the Stash Box 2.0, but I have to say, this feels like a bad knockoff of the original.
The lid feels cheap and unfinished - I genuinely worry about getting a splinter, or worse, breaking the lid entirely. It's got the give of cheap particle board.
The upgrades to the grinder holder and storage section are good, they match the modifications I had already made to my 1.0.
The paper dispenser... while neat, sure, takes up a LOT of space. What used to be a great pocket to hold rillos, etc, now holds just a single pack of papers.
Not only that, but the overall box construction has changed slightly. The material is thicker, but somehow feels cheaper. That plus the dispenser addition guts at least 10% of the volume inside, meaning things that used to fit well, like my ashtray and table lighter, are now impossible to carry all at once.
I will be sticking to the 1.0, which is still a phenomenal product. I've included pictures to highlight my call outs - 1.0 in grey, 2.0 in white.
I’ve searched for years for an an affordable stash box. Finally found one. This is it. Highly recommended.
This thing is amazing!! Holds a zip of flower no problem. Sleek af! The grinder to go with is the best!! Showed it to the homies, they’re all ordering them now lol.
